At DMC Norway the team is gearing up for a season of VAR, OBOS and Toppserien in Norwegian football. As we approach round four this weekend, DMC is at full speed ready to serve viewers all over the country.
After a year of some skepticism and familiarizing, Norwegian football clubs have voted to support VAR in the Eliteserien league. And having a successful season last year, DMC will again provide technical services for VAR for the Norwegian Football Federation (NFF) in Eliteserien
The VAR desk, often consisting of one head referee, one assistant referee and one replay operator (RO) is finally manned for football again. DMC Norway´s Replay Operators are ready to calibrate offside lines, calculate angles and deliver all possible angles of situations to NFF referees for assessment. RO´s must be unbiased and deliver what referees wishes to see from a situation. All RO`s must go through extensive training and be approved by FIFA. DMC has therefore over the winter provided training to keep RO´s warm for the new season.
DMC Norway will also be delivering full 2-camera productions for client TV 2 of both OBOS-Ligaen and Toppserien. With great experiences and a lot of learning from last season, DMC is ready to be back on air with OBOS and Toppserien. Experiences gained leaves both producers and camera operators ready for new challenges and great television production this year!
